This edition of Who is PDCflow highlights another team member that makes our products great. Orin Long is one of PDCflow’s back end software developers. Although our clients may never have a chance to speak to him, Orin’s work on our esignature product has made a difference in countless offices throughout the last several years.
- How has PDCflow helped you in your career development?
This is the first job I have had as a full-time developer. The opportunities provided have given me a chance to learn new skills and technologies, then put that new knowledge into practice.
- What has been your favorite experience at PDCflow?
The whole design and implementation of the signature product. Seeing the designs, then being able to code and implement them has been great.
- What is on your wish list for the next 2 years with PDCflow?
Continued growth for the company, new technologies implemented in our system architecture–mostly just continue the way we are headed.
- What is your proudest moment at PDCflow?
There are many, including getting signatures on documents actually working, but my favorite is a small feature probably nobody noticed. When the signature service was first coded, the signatures were not very smooth. A quickly drawn circle would end up looking more like a square or hexagon. I re-wrote the library that drew the signatures and added an algorithm to nicely smooth the lines.
